American-Style Diner

Our restaurant, like our food, is designed to keep things fresh and local.  We make our dishes in house from locally sourced ingredients.

The goal at Cook is to bring a range of traditional American Breakfast and Lunch diner foods like cinnamon rolls, french toast, omelettes, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more to the highest level of quality. We also have a couple Korean  dishes if you want to try a little variety.

Come out and try our Breakfast or Lunch for yourself - we know you'll love it!

Eddie Wu

CO-OWNER

Eddie Wu grew up in So St Paul, MN.  He started working in restaurants washing dishes when he was 14 years old at Drover’s Inn in So St Paul.  From there he became a prep cook, a pantry cook, and a line cook.  After high school he joined the Marines for 5 years.  He got out of the Marines and went back to the service industry while attending college.  His Marine leadership and restaurant knowledge made it easy for him to transition to restaurant management.  He lived in Denver, CO of 6 years where he managed many different types of places from a food delivery service, a bar, a night club, to a corporate cafeteria.  In 2009 he moved back to St Paul to start his family.  Since he has been back in St Paul he did a 1 year apprenticeship at Sole Cafe in order to learn from the best Korean Chef in Minnesota.  He has taken his restaurant background and combined it with his love of Korean food to open up Cook St Paul with his lifelong friend (who just so happens to be a phenomenal Chef) Charles Cook.

Charles Cook

CO-OWNER

Born and raised in So St Paul, MN Charles took to the culinary world as if it were meant to be (maybe his last name isn't a coincidence).  He started out as a dishwasher at age 14 and raised through the ranks in the kitchen very quickly.  By 19 years old he was a sous chef, and by his early twenties he was running kitchens as a full Chef.  Although he never went to a formal culinary school, he has trained under several world class Chefs in the Twin Cities, around the country, and even around the world.  His most recent position saw him as the C.O.O. of Cosseta  in St Paul, MN.  He is the backbone of Cook St Paul, and the reason the restaurant has been receiving all of the positive reviews and making multiple lists of the best places to eat in the Twin Cities before Cook St Paul has been open for a month.  He spends most of his time overseeing all of the preparation that goes into every item on the menu, but if you get a chance to see him let him know what you think of  Cook St Paul, our menu, and the food you have eaten at Cook St Paul.

He has been happily married to his wife Tiffany for over 13 years, and has two amazing kids; Alexis (12) and Mason (9)
